Ten Great Spanish Teaching Resources
Being both a mom and bilingual educator, I am always seeking great ideas and resources to teach kids Spanish. I wanted to share some free resources that incorporate fun easy Spanish lessons. You will be able to use these activities and sites right away as you teach your children Spanish. Buena suerte!
- Latin Baby Book Club Visit this great site for suggestions of fabulous titles that your children will love and will enhance their language development. You can purchase books here or check for them at your local library. Latin Baby Book Club also does frequent giveaways.
- Primera Escuela This is a fantastic site for lessons, crafts, and activities in Spanish. Free printables for coloring and vocabulary practice.
- Hello World Learn Spanish online through games, activities, and songs!
- Story Place: Digital Children’s Library in Spanish Digital children’s stories online. Great practice for listening comprehension, pronunciation, and fluency.
- Childtopia Fun, interactive games, stories, activities for written and oral comprehension.
- Word Reference For those ever curious little minds that are always asking you “ how do you say this in Spanish?”. You can quickly type in a word or phrase and get the translation.
- Teaching and Learning Spanish This is a gold mine of a site filled with recommendations, resources, blogs and tips for teaching Spanish to children.
- Learn Spanish with Dora Fun easy Spanish lessons with Dora and her buddies. Kids will be able to interact, play games, and hear the language.
- Super Spanish Web Sites Vocabulary practice, games, activities, sites for parents, children, and teachers.
- Nationalities and Maps This is a great site because it shows the map of the countries, has audio pronunciation of the nationalities and Spanish speaking countries.
